.KEY MESSAGES...

- Cooling temperatures back into the 80s to low 90s this weekend
  with continued breezy winds.

- Shower and thunderstorm chances increase Monday and Tuesday.

&&

.SYNOPSIS...
Slightly cooler temperatures are expected this weekend and then
showers and thunderstorms return to the forecast early next
week.

&&

.DISCUSSION...
In the wake of Friday night`s frontal passage, daytime
temperatures will be several degrees cooler for the weekend
into early next week, with values near to slightly below daily
norms. Breezy winds will continue Saturday, but to a lesser
degree than Friday for most locations.

For late Sunday, Monday, and into Tuesday, a deepening trough
dropping down from the north is expected to bring showers with
the potential for embedded thunderstorms. The best chances will
likely be across our northern mountains, but the potential for
precipitation will exist across much of the Inland Northwest.
In addition, any thunderstorms are likely to exhibit slow storm
motion, so the locally heavy rain would enhance the risk of
flash flooding, especially over recent burn scars and areas of
steep terrain. Confidence is low at this time, but this will
warrant watching in the coming days.

Drier and warmer conditions are anticipated to return Wednesday
through Friday when low pressure exits the region. /KD

&&

.AVIATION...
12Z TAFS: VFR conditions with westerly gusts around 15-25 kts
or so Saturday afternoon and evening. The best chance for 25+
kt gusts are for Central WA (KEAT) around 22z Sat-06z Sun.

FORECAST CONFIDENCE AND/OR ALTERNATE SCENARIOS: High confidence
that VFR conditions will continue at all TAF sites.
